The Sociology of AI Lab operates out of the Department of Sociology at Vanderbilt University, led by Professor Jenny L. Davis. We apply a sociological lens to AI in society, oriented by two basic questions: how does society shape AI and how does AI shape society?
We approach this paired line of inquiry through a variety of projects that span sociological subdisciplines and expand across disciplinary boundaries.Â
